Sunday Fun Day Helicopter Fun Fly May 1999

Thank You To All That Attended This Years Event!!!!

We had a great turn out for our Sunday fun fly.  There were 45 registered pilots.  The weather was cool for May but very windy.  We griped for about thirty minutes and then said what the heck lets go fly!!!

We had pilots from New Mexico, Oklahoma, Lousiana, and of course, Texas.

Bill George was our lucky raffle winner, he's the proud new owner of a Thunder Tiger Raptor.

Scale Helicopters were well represented with: Duey Le's  Huey Art Hatches Vario Gas Bell 47 Steve Higgins Bell 222 Care Flight Watch for several new great scale entries at Mnt Pleasant this year.  I have several guys with works in progress and they are all shooting for the end of September.

Next year we are hoping for a 2 or 3 day event.  The North Dallas RC Club was gracious enough to allow us to have Sunday this year, but I think they see the opportunity to make a little money off us next year by selling us food for a couple of days.   Sounds like a great fund raiser to me!!!!!
